CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral work is a light, hands on, therapy that enables you to heal at the source of your problem. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CranioSacral work acts as a preventive health measure and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Bronwen uses techniques from the Visionary approach (Milne Institute) and John Upledger (Upledger Insititue) as well as Hatha Yoga, Vedanta Philosophy, Shamanism, Reiki and Meditation.

Bronwen is by far the most profound CranioSacral bodyworker I’ve met and worked with, and consider her a masterful healer. Her knowledge of the anatomy from massage and yoga training add to the depth and sensitivity of touch.

“The craniosacral session I had with Bronwen was pure magic. She held the space beautifully while each movement of energy gently flowed through my body and into the directions it needed. Bronwen is a natural balancer and clearly has a gift to bring this light to others. I feel as though I have a new inspiration for this work and the internal trust from the universe it calls for.”

I was referred to Bronwen after several days of heightened chronic disc pain in my neck. She tailored the session to my specific needs and it was clear that she “listened” to my body throughout the treatment. My pain was greatly reduced by the time I headed home. The next day my pain was even better and by the day after that I was feeling better than I had in months. I’m extremely impressed with how she was able to treat my pain and move my body into such a powerfully healing space. I look forward to future sessions.

The CranioSacral system consists of the bones in your head (cranium), the sacrum bone (at the base of the spine) the spinal cord, membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. CranioSacral therapy focuses on optimizing the position, fluid movement ('wave') and energy (piezolelectric charge and chi) of these parts of the CranioSacral system, allowing it to flow freely through the head, spine and pelvis (although not limited to those areas) and unwind pain or restrictions in the body. As the body’s healing potential is reawakened, insights into what is troubling you and what is needed to regain balance typically arise.

Craniosacral Work evolved from Cranial Osteopathy, a specialization of the osteopathic profession that was introduced to the world in the 1930s by an American osteopath and visionary, William Garner Sutherland, after his mentorship with Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, who is considered the father of osteopathy and osteopathic medicine. I studied with Scottish Osteopath, Hugh Milne, in the lineage of Dr. Robert Fulford, a protégé of Dr. Sutherland.  Hugh Milne is the creator of Visionary CranioSacral Work, international teacher and author of three books.
